Jenna-Louise Coleman is a popular British actor well known for her
portrayal of Clara Oswald in the television series ‘Doctor Who’. She
began acting at a young age as a member of ‘Yer Space’, a theatre
company, where she was part of the play ‘Crystal Clear’ at Edinburgh
Festival. The play received wide acclaim and Coleman received an award
for her performance. Coleman got her first break when she grabbed the
role of Jasmine Thomas in the soap opera ‘Emmerdale’ in 2005 and she
continued with the show until its end in 2009. She received a nomination
at the 2006 National Television Awards in the Most Popular Newcomer for
her portrayal of Jasmine Thomas. Coleman made her film debut in 2011 as
